DIY Presets

Learning to edit efficiently and reduce computer time is a game changer for every single photographer. For those who edit in Lightroom, using presets (someone else’s or your very own) is a huge part of saving time and getting super consistent!

If you have Julie Griffin Presets already, you’ve seen in the Learning Guide that purchased presets are not meant to be a one-click edit for your images, because your SOOC (straight out of camera) images are different from my SOOC images. So you’ll need to do some hand edits… and maybe even modify the presets so they serve you best long term.

If you don’t have my presets, that’s totally cool… I’m about to drop a little knowledge that’s going to save you tons of time too!

Are you ready for it…

You can change presets.

and get this too…

you can make your own presets.

Okay maybe you already knew both of those things, but maybe you haven’t been doing it or don’t exactly know how?

In this tutorial, I’ll walk you through HOW TO:

  1. Modify an existing preset

  2. Make an alternate version of an existing preset

  3. Make your own presets from scratch
